I have been very grateful to recieve talking therapies from [name removed], who has always been friendly and professional. Her CBT style is excellent at engaging and fosters trust when discussing some emotive subjects. A huge thank you to her for all her much appreciated care.
Suggested improvements
It would benefit from clearer communication over treatment and timescales, as I had a convoluted route to accessing care. It was not clear that the original and followup appointments were only triage and not the start of treatment as I had been led to believe.
As I have already discussed with [name removed], as I understood the concepts early on, i thought it took a while to get onto material & discussions that I can use as tools for my own treatment.

I felt very supported, listened to and respected. All sessions were meaningful and helped me to understand my symptoms and find coping strategies.
Suggested improvements
The programme should include more sessions and most should be in person.

When I got to speak to anyone they were very pleasant I was not able to commence treatment due to the long waiting list and, I believe, the fact my case was "lost". Was it not for some internal resilience and the fact that I am the carer/supporter for my partner and did not want to let anyone down I do not believe I would have got through the last 18 months. Being referred by my GP for urgent help for my mental health and trauma I did not expect to be let down by the service
